Hostel Applications

If you would like to apply for a room in the Hostel, you will need to complete an application form. We can help you with this if you find it difficult.

You can collect an application form from the Community Centre, or you can call us and we will send one out to you. Or you can click the button above this section.

Once you've completed your form, we'll need to find out more about you from other people who know you well. This might include your employer, a social worker, leaving care worker, your doctor or a support worker from another organisation. We will always ask your permission before contacting these people.

The next step is an interview. This is an opportunity for us to find out more about you - and for you to ask any questions that you have.

If we agree that the YMCA is right for you, we will put you on our waiting list. We will offer you a room when one becomes available - sometimes this can be a matter of days, and sometimes it takes a bit longer. We will always try to let you know how long you can expect to wait.

On the day that you move in, you will be assigned a Keyworker. This person will help with any worries that you have, and they will set time to meet with you the following week to have a first Keywork session.
